time capsule doesn’t see usb lacie drive
My Time Capsule doesn’s see attached Lacie external hard drive, connected to Time Capsule with USB cable.
Cable works correct. Hard drive works perfect as well, while connected directly to my MacBookPro. However, I cannot see or attach this hard drive to my Time Capsule.
Any thoughts?

All I can tell you is that both my LaCie drive and my WD drive have their own power supplies.
They will work when I connect the drive directly to a Mac, but neither of them will work if I connect them to the Time Capsule…...unless….I use a powered USB hub.
I suspect this is because the USB port on the Time Capsule is designed to power a printer…..but not a hard drive…but I cannot prove it. A USB 3 drive will work when it is connected to the USB 2 port.
